10 days since the previous entry. Have been busy at office. Completed ISO 9001 recertification audit today. It has been 3 years since the certification on 22.9.2005. The audit went off well, and addressed some core issues at the Institute. Got 6-7 NCRs. Need to close the NCRs by monday-tuesday. Some really bad issues came up. However, I think, that considering the stuff at home going on, I think the problems at office seem very small and silly. I remember how perturbed I used to be in 1982-1986 about ARR, Jagdish Chandra, RM, NC etc. Later, during 1996-2000, with VCM and his spouse SM, GMP, SK, JPh at the office. But, with the stuff at home, all of that seems like a silly dream and very very childish. But, it should come up. Maybe like the S-Gate situation, the same waves are coming out from N-Gad, almost similar to S-Sau and MSG.
We had planned on going to Gagangiri Maharaj Ashram at Khopoli. Me, wife and daughter. Planned it all week. But, it was not to be. Wife messaged me today that we cannot go to Khopoli. May be a blessing in disguise or an accident that did not happen. VinPat called about P-daughter and said that he had consulted with everyone, many doctors and one and all had recommended Abhyankar. Maybe we need to visit Dr. Tannu and Dr. Abhyankar once again.
A surprising development at office was that on a day that I scolded TM-SS in a bad way, Dr. Tambolkar said that my blood pressure was 120/80. I had also lost my temper on 11/9 also in a bad way on BJ-PRO over his inefficiency with the Y-Vaarta. He seems to be purposely inefficient. Maybe I expect too much with people in my line of work.
How can one prevent the changeover? Today, I discussed it with Mr SGar - one of the foremost experts in internal quality. He said that one should always nurture and provide an incentive to poor performers and inform a clear period of time for improvement. But, how does one prevent the transition from irritation to negativity to anger and temper? And how does one repair the damage? Seems like a search for the holy grail! I think we should study the time duration in much lesser intervals.
I am thinking of some diversions... to get away from it all... from stuff at home...
1. Start a walkabout trail. Walk to some locations.
2. Climb some steep stairs regularly. In buildings, in hills.
3. trek on flat ground nearby. Purandar, Shirwal etc
4. Climb steep slopes on hillsides. Karla, Malavli.
5. Trek on mixed areas - full day - Jejuri to Khadepathar.
6. Do nothing for the entire day. Eat, sleep, be dirty, bum around.
7. Travel 2nd AC / 1st Ac by train for 2-4 days. Chennai or Bengaluru. Not north India.
8. Drive in car with driver for 2-3 days.
9. Go birdwatching in a long drive - with assistants, cooks and driver. Konkan coast.
